Quote Settings let you define organization-wide defaults that apply to every new quote. Setting these defaults saves time and ensures consistency across your team's proposals.

Default Tax Rate

Set the default tax rate percentage that will be pre-filled on new quotes.

Navigate to Settings in the sidebar, then select the Quote Settings tab

Enter the default Tax Rate as a percentage (e.g., 8.25)

Click Save to apply

Quote Number Prefix

Configure the prefix used for auto-generated quote numbers.

Enter your desired Quote Number Prefix (e.g., QT)

New quotes will be numbered using this prefix followed by a sequential number (e.g., QT-2026-0001)

Default Terms and Conditions

Set standard terms and conditions that are automatically included on every new quote. Uses a rich text editor so you can format the text with headings, lists, and emphasis.

Default Quote Notes

Add default notes that appear on new quotes. Use this for standard disclaimers, payment instructions, or other recurring information.

Default Validity Period

Set how many days a quote remains valid by default.

Enter the default Validity Period in days (e.g., 30)

The expiration date on new quotes will be automatically calculated from the quote date
All defaults can be overridden on individual quotes. Set your defaults to match your most common scenario to minimize editing on each new quote.
