Pipeline Stages define the steps a deal moves through from initial qualification to close. Customize your stages to match your sales process so your pipeline view and forecasting reflect how your team actually works.

Default Stages

RevOrbit comes with a standard set of pipeline stages:

1
Qualification -- Initial evaluation of the opportunity
2
Proposal -- Proposal or quote has been presented
3
Negotiation -- Terms are being discussed
4
Closed Won -- Deal has been won (closing stage)
5
Closed Lost -- Deal has been lost (closing stage)

Reorder Stages

Arrange stages in the order deals typically progress through your pipeline. The display order determines how stages appear on the pipeline view and deal forms.

1
Use the and arrow buttons in the Order column to move a stage up or down
2
Changes are saved automatically when you reorder

Win Probability

Each stage has a win probability percentage (0-100%) that represents the likelihood of closing a deal at that stage. This probability is used in pipeline value forecasting to calculate weighted deal values on the dashboard.

Closing Stages

Mark stages as Won or Lost to designate them as closing stages. When a deal moves to a closing stage, it is treated as closed and no longer appears in active pipeline views.

You cannot delete a stage that has active deals assigned to it. Move all deals to a different stage first, then delete the empty stage.
Set win probabilities that reflect your actual historical conversion rates at each stage. This makes your pipeline forecasting more accurate and helps prioritize deals.
